ABOUT THE NURSING
Nursing studies prepare students for the profession of nurse. Graduates are prepared for comprehensive and individualised care of healthy, sick, disabled and dying people, in particular in the scope of the following health services: Care, prevention, diagnosis, therapy, rehabilitation and health promotion. The graduate receives the Bachelor's degree.
After obtaining the right to practice the profession of nurse, a graduate may be employed in public and non-public health care institutions, including Hospitals, basic health care facilities, education and training centres, medical care centres, nursing and care centres, nursing and treatment centres, palliative and hospice care centres.
Organisation, schedule and schedule of studies
The first full-time nursing courses last 6 (3 years) or 7 semesters (3.5 years). The curriculum consists of 4,784 teaching hours, including 1,200 hours of work experience and 1,100 hours of practical training. Classes take the form of lectures, exercises, seminars, self-education offers, internships and practical courses. The following subjects, among others, are taught during the training:
Basic sciences - anatomy, physiology, pathology, genetics, biochemistry and biophysics, microbiology and parasitism, pharmacology, radiology.
Social sciences - psychology, sociology, pedagogy, medical law, public health, English language.
Nursing science - the basis of nursing, the ethics of the nursing profession, health promotion, basic health care, dietetics, organization of nursing work, physical examination, hospital infections, health care information system, optional classes to choose from: Sign language, Cooperation in health care teams;
SPECIALISTY OPERATIONS' SCIENTIFICATIONS' SCIENTIFICATIONS: Internal diseases and internal medicine nursing, paediatrics and paediatric nursing, surgery and surgical nursing, Obstetrics, gynaecology and obstetrics-gynaecological nursing, Psychiatry and psychiatric nursing, Anaesthesiology and nursing in life threatening, Neurology and neurological nursing, Geriatry and geriatric nursing, Palliative care, Basics of rehabilitation, Basics of medical rescue, Scientific research in nursing, Diploma seminar;
Within the framework of education there are compulsory physical education classes in the amount of 60 hours.
